LIMA 2017 (Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition)

A biennial 5-day exhibition, LIMA has been a dedicated exhibition for the maritime and aerospace sector for defence, civil and commercial applications since its inception in 1991. Held at Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre and Resorts World Langkawi, LIMA’17 is set to take place from 21 – 25 March 2017 and seeks to be the most impactful one yet expecting 550 exhibitors from 38 countries and is looking to display at least 80 aircrafts and 68 warships and boats.

With the growth of targeted exhibitors and displays, the upcoming LIMA also expects an increase in trade visitors and delegates to 40,000 and 380 respectively.

Deemed Asia Pacific's premier maritime and aerospace showcase, LIMA '17 builds on the successes of previous exhibitions; offering traders and businesses a unique networking opportunity where they can connect with their target audience, and explore viable opportunities within the fast-changing defence and commercial landscapes in the region's dynamic markets.

LIMA regularly attracts top companies and key decision makers representing Asia’s growth market in both defence and civil applications. The biennial LIMA event is a strategic platform for maritime and aerospace industry leaders to exchange views and seize the opportunities within the high growth markets of Asia. World leading aircraft and shipbuilders, such as Airbus Group, DCNS, Embraer, Sikorsky, BAE, Saab, and Dassault will each exhibit their most advanced defense and commercial assets at LIMA next year.

Local giants such as NADI, Boustead Naval Shipyard, Sapura Defense and CTRM will also be competing for lucrative opportunities in the Asia. LIMA’17 targeted more than 100,000 sqm in total gross space occupied.

Key activities lined up for LIMA'17 include a world-class exhibition featuring Government Pavilions, SME Pavilion and R&D Section; influential and high-impact conferences and meetings including the Chief of Navy Roundtable Talks and Air chiefs Conference; and displays and demonstrations featuring established activities such as static displays, airshows and marine demonstrations.

As we cross the end of 2016, The Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition are rapidly gearing up to produce an outstanding show with more lucrative opportunities for its partners, exhibitors and visitors at LIMA’17.

On LIMA’17, the exhibition is split with a dedicated Maritime segment alongside the on-water display at Resorts World Langkawi and Aerospace segment at Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre.

LIMA maintains the strong reputation as a defence gathering point whilst introducing a more aggressive commercial focus. With a multitude of exhibits and programmes where key decision makers and industry leaders meet, LIMA’17 is set to be even more spectacular than previous editions. It will provide participants with the experience of a global marketplace at one convenient location.
