1K Units of Equipment to be Transferred to South Ossetia

More than 1 thousand units of equipment will be transferred by the servicemen of the Southern Military District for the winter operation mode in South Ossetia, said the press service of the Southern Military District (SMD).

Servicemen of the Russian military base of the 58th Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District (SMD) in South Ossetia have begun transferring weapons and military equipment for winter mode of operation.

Withing a month, more than 1,000 units of weapons, armored vehicles, automobiles, and special military equipment will be serviced in military camps in Tskhinvali, Java, as well as at outposts.

More than 15 tons of engine and transmission oils, about 3 tons of greases, and more than 35 tons of low-freezing coolants will be used in the transfer.

For high-quality work and the provision of qualified assistance to the crews of combat vehicles in the units, specialized brigades have been created to perform specialized work.

At the final stage of the transfer, a special commission of the command of the military base will check the quality of the work performed.
