Sergei Abramov: Rostec Enters New Markets As Early As Today

Rostec constituent enterprises are actively mastering the new areas of production: robotics, nanotechnology, medical technology, and mechanical engineering.

Rostec products are often superior to foreign equivalents in terms of cost efficiency. This is according to the Industrial Director of the Corporation Sergei Abramov.

At the same time, the Corporation is entering new markets, namely those of robotics, electronic equipment, and mechanical engineering, in an effort to fulfil the Presidential task to bring the share of civil products to at least 50% of the total production of the Russian defense industry complex by 2030.

As an example, Sergei Abramov mentioned Concern Techmash whose POZIS enterprise is one of the leaders in production of medical and refrigeration equipment. Concern Kalashnikov is known as the manufacturer of not only modern small arms, but also civil and military watercraft, unmanned systems, and robotics.

Sergei Abramov also spoke about the export supplies. In this area, the Corporation is ready to offer new products to customers using mutual settlements and life cycle contracts. Rostec is actively winning new markets while retaining the old ones. Joint production facilities are opening in some of the countries. Rostec enters such partnerships “because the potential that we have is significantly higher than the products that we bring to the market,” added Sergei Abramov.
