IFP News reported Brigadier General Amir Hatami saying that due to the successes achieved in Iran over the past 40 years, the country now produced most aircraft parts domestically.

Hatami was quoted by the news agency saying: "We have been able to localise spare parts manufacturing in these areas, and we are one of the few countries that have achieved this success.”

In an address to the Parliament on Tuesday, Hatami  submitted a comprehensive report on the high defence capability of the country in missile field, manufacturing advanced and sophisticated vessels.

Iran's State media agency's source, an MP, said that the minister of defence confirmed that the country was no longer reliant on foreigners, and that Iran was in perfect conditions in terms of defence capabilities, and that he dismissed concerns about the defence industry.
