Russia & Saudi Arabia Committed to Strengthening Cooperation

 

On the second day of the VII International Military-Technical Forum, the Russian Minister of Defence Sergei Shoigu held a meeting with the Deputy Defence Minister of Saudi Arabia Prince Khaled bin Salman Al-Saud.

Prince Khaled bin Salman Al-Saud, Deputy Minister of Defence of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, said at his meeting with Russian Minister of Defence Sergei Shoigu that the Kingdom is committed to strengthening cooperation with Russia, which will help to respond jointly to threats and challenges.

"I wanted to convey from my leadership our willingness to continue to strengthen the relations that have historically developed between our countries. I am confident that in the future we will continue to develop and strengthen these relations, meeting the aspirations of our peoples and fulfilling them. This, in turn, will contribute to improving the situation, as well as stabilizing and strengthening security," he said.

According to Prince Khaled bin Salman Al-Saud, the cooperation that exists between Suaid Arabia and Russia "will contribute to a common response to all modern challenges that we will implement together".

"The challenges that exist," he said, " will require us to cooperate and work even more."

The Deputy Minister thanked Shoigu for the invitation to the  International Military-Technical Forum ARMY-2021, which he called a "great event" and conveyed greetings from the King of Saudi Arabia, the leadership of his country's Ministry of Defence.

The VII International Military-Technical Forum ARMY-2021 is held from 22 to 28 August 2021 at the Patriot Convention and Exhibition Center, at the Alabino training ground, and the Kubinka airfield. The Forum is the world's leading exhibition of weapons and military equipment and is also a prestigious platform for presenting advanced ideas and technological developments.
