Southern MD Su-24M bombers practice air-to-air refuelling in dense clouds

The crews of the aviation regiment of the Southern Military District completed air-to-air refuelling of Su-24M short-range bombers in the sky of the Volgograd region in difficult weather conditions. The refueling process was carried out at a distance of less than 20 m from the air tanker. Air refueling from IL-78 was carried out at an altitude of about 800m at an aircraft speed of about 600 km/h in pairs and in a single order.

The flight crew of the Southern MD practiced difficult element of practical training in dense clouds.

Young pilots who arrived in the air force unit after graduating from a military schools this year, for the first time performed a combat training mission in adverse weather conditions.
