JSC KAMAZ, Russian trucks and engines manufacturer, announced today the launch of the sales of its new flagship truck model, KAMAZ-54901.
Production of KAMAZ-54901 cars was launched in 2019. Prior to the start of sales, lots of new tractors were handed over to several large carriers for test operation, the model was tested in real conditions of transportation and finalized by the manufacturer according to customer reviews. As a result, in 2020, the company launches an already proven product on the market.
"The fundamentally new truck cab with an absolutely even floor, two berths and an increased width (2500 mm) meets all modern requirements: when it was created, a bet was made on ergonomics, driver convenience and comfort," KAMAZ said.
"The tractor is equipped with a new 450-horsepower KAMAZ P6 in-line 6-cylinder engine, a new ZF Traxon automated 12-speed gearbox with enhanced driver functionality and a Daimler rear axle with a reduced gear ratio for fuel economy. Front and rear brakes are disc. Also among the advantages of the new items are two fuel tanks with a total volume of 1,400 liters, which ensures an impressive range (about 4.5 thousand km)."
“The KAMAZ-54901 main truck flagship is designed for long-haul transport, the first model of the latest line of K5 generation trucks, ” said Rustam Shamsutdinov, KAMAZ Deputy Director General for Sales and Service.
The vehicles will appear in regional dealerships in May-June.
