UASUV 2017 Med – Press Release
UASUV 2017 Med, Unmanned Aerial-Surface-Underwater Vehicles Technology, 1st Int'l Conference & Exhibition was held from 17-19 May in Athens at the Hellenic Armed Forces Officers’ Club –(LAED), with great success.
UASUV 2017 Med aimed to highlight the unmanned vehicles technology in all aspects and the major role that it will play in the full transformation of working methods in almost all areas of human activity, military and nonmilitary, creating a meeting place for professionals, experts and other stakeholders to exchange ideas on current as well as future requirements and solutions, particularly in the sensitive region of the Mediterranean Sea.
The Conference was held under the Auspices of the Helllenic Ministry of National Defence, General Directorate for Defense Investments and Armaments –(GDDIA) and supported by the European Commission, Directorate General Growth for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship & SMEs, Unit for Defence, Aeronautics and Maritime Industries, the European Defence Agency –(EDA), the European Border & Coast Guard Agency –(FRONTEX), the European Maritime Safety Agency –(EMSA), the Hellenic Manufacturers of Defense Material Association –(SEKPY), the Hellenic Aerospace Security and Defense Industries Group –(HASDIG), the Hellenic Institute for Strategic Studies –(HELISS), the Hellenic Submariner's Association and the Cyprus Joint Rescue Coordination Center –(JRCC of Larnaca).
The Inaugural address was made by the Alternate Minister of National Defence, Mr Dimitrios Vitsas and the welcoming adresses by Mr Tassos Rozolis, President of SEKPY, VAdm (HN) ret. Vasilios Martzoukos, President of HELISS, VAdm (HN) ret. Panagiotis Raditsas, President of the Hellenic Submariner's Association. A Keynote address was made by Mrs Sylvia Kainz-Huber, Deputy Head of Unit for Defence, Aeronautic and Maritime industries, EU DGG.
At UASUV 2017 Med, ALTERNATIVE SPONSOR was ISI Hellas, while ISRAEL AEROSPACE INDUSTRIES and INTRACOM Defense Electronics had SPECIAL ATTENDANCE.
