ARMY-2021 Forum to be Held Next August

The Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Pavel Popov, has announced that the seventh Army International Military-Technical Forum (ARMY-2021 Forum) will be held next year in August, reports the channel of the Russian Ministry of Defence, TV Zvezda.

“The 7th Army International Military-Technical Forum will take place in August next year. In the course of preparation for the forum, it is important to take into account all the best developments of the last forum, which brought together about 1,500 enterprises, ”the deputy minister said at a meeting of the organizing committee.

He recalled that more than 28,000 samples of military and dual-use products were presented at the ARMY-2020 Forum at the Patriot Exhibition and Convention Center.

“It is pleasant to note that representatives of 92 states, including 18 high-level delegations, took part in the Forum in a difficult situation,” Popov said.

Six countries presented national expositions at ARMY-2020 Forum: Belarus, Brazil, India, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, South Ossetia).

Within the framework of the forum, 186 scientific and business events were held, where issues of state policy and interdepartmental cooperation in the field of state defence, as well as promising directions for the development of the military-technical sphere, were discussed.

In 2020, for the first time ever, Army Forum and Army Games took place simultaneously. Both events started on the same day this year. ARMY-2020 Forum took place between 23 to 29 August in Patriot park near Moscow and at other venues. As for the ArmyGames, they were held from August 23 to September 5 on the territory of five states: Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, and Uzbekistan. Military forces from more than 30 countries took part in the games this year. The Russian team won the main cup of ArmyGamea 2020. ■
