The combat crews of the S-400 Triumph surface-to-air missile (SAM) system of the Ural air defense regiment of the Central Military District (CMD) performed the first combat launch of S-400 at the Kapustin Yar training ground in the Astrakhan region after rearmament in mid-September.

The crews of the S-400 "Triumph" detected a target missile "Kaban" imitating an operational-tactical missile, worked out the escort, and at an altitude of about 20 kilometers the target was successfully destroyed. After that, the equipment will be serviced, the crews will take up combat duty to protect the airspace in the Urals zone of responsibility, ”added the commander of the anti-aircraft missile regiment Colonel Yuri Semenov.
