Rostec State Corporation stated on Tuesday that the marine support combat vehicles BMP-3F and BT-3F will be presented by the High-Precision Complexes Holding at the 15th International Defence Exhibition and Conference IDEX 2021, which will be held between 21-25 February in the United Arab Emirates.

Amphibious combat vehicles BMP-3F and BT-3F are capable of leaving amphibious ships at a distance of 40-60 km from the coast, which significantly reduces the likelihood of massive losses of combat vehicles before and at the time of landing. In tandem, the vehicles provide the marines not only with delivery to the place of the combat mission, but also with fire support. Each has a power reserve on the water for up to 7 hours, including in rough seas up to three points, as well as the ability to go to an unprepared shore.
“Another undoubted advantage of the machines is their portability,” says Pyotr Tyukov, executive director of JSC Kurganmashzavod. "To transport these combat vehicles, road, air, sea, and rail transport can be used. BT-3F can also be transported on the external sling of the Mi-26 helicopter. All vehicles are transported by Il-76MD aircraft, its analogues and modifications."
When conducting modern amphibious operations, the requirement of "over-the-horizon landing" is becoming prevalent for escort technology. The floating BMP-3 and BMP-3F have proven themselves during many years of operation in the Russian and foreign navies as combat vehicles capable of successfully solving such tasks. And the newest armored personnel carrier BT-3F, created not so long ago at Kurganmashzavod together with the Special Design Bureau of Mechanical Engineering, has supplemented this line.
“At the same time, the unification of products in terms of units and assemblies with the BMP-3 is an additional plus in terms of the operation and maintenance of vehicles for the Marine Corps,” said Alexander Denisov, Director General of NPO High-Precision Complexes. "Thus, we can say that the most promising foreign markets for BMP-3F and BT-3F are states that already have BMP-3 in service."
