Media Accreditation for ARMY Forum&Games Open to 14 Aug

The Russian Ministry of Defence announced that it will be receiving applications for representative of Russian and foreign media during the period between 16 July to 14 August, for both the International Military-Technical Forum ARMY-2020 and the International Army Games-2020.

For accreditation, media representatives must fill out a special form on the website of the Russian Ministry of Defence in the Games and Forum sections.

On August 23, on the territory of the Patriot Congress And Exhibition Centre, two main events will open simultaneously for the first time; ARMY-2020 Forum, and the International Army Games. At the Alabino training field, one of the most spectacular field training competitions, Tank Biathlon, will start.

The forum will be held from 23 to 29 August. Starting this year, the Ashuluk training field in the Astrakhan region will be added to the traditional Forum venues (thePatriot Congress And Exhibition Centre, the Alabino training field, the Kubinka airfield, exhibitions in the military districts and in the Northern Fleet), on the territory of which it is planned to demonstrate elements of a unique system of countering unmanned aerial vehicles.

The scientific and business program includes more than 170 events, during which it is planned to discuss a variety issues like ensuring the defence capability of the state, the development of the production, scientific and technical potential of the military-industrial complex, as well as the prospects for the development of international military and military-technical cooperation.

One of the key events of the Forum will be the Congress "Diversification of the Defence Industry in the Interests of National Projects." Traditionally, the International Military-Technical Forum ARMY-2020 sites will host a conference on Artificial Intelligence, a meeting of the interdepartmental commission, which includes representatives of the Russian Ministry of Defence and the state corporation Rosatom, as well as events of the regional branches of the Russian Academy of Sciences.


"Defence Media" marketing communication agency" and the "New Defence Order.Strategy" journal will be organising a roundtable event at the Army-2020 Forum. The event will discuss the military-industrial complex of Russia- "The Military-Industrial Complex 2030. Practical Forecasting as a Tool for Modern Development of Industry, Legislation, & Management."

On the territory of the event will be organised exhibition expositions of the Military Innovative Technopolis "ERA", participants of the festival of innovative scientific ideas "Start in Science", as well as the exhibition "Military Education - Prestige and Innovation".

More than a thousand domestic and foreign companies are planning to take part in the Forum, ready to demonstrate over 25,000 models of weapons, military and special equipment.

Enterprises of the Russian defence industry will present the latest developments not only at the static exposition sites, but also as part of the Forum's demonstration program. For this purpose, the Russian Ministry of Defence will present about 700 units of modern weapons and military equipment. Dynamic demonstrations of modern and advanced weapons will be held for Russian and foreign military specialists.

In addition, the guests and participants of the Forum will be presented with the "Tankprom Alley" exposition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the national tank building. A unique line of 22 tanks and armoured vehicles was deployed for the first time in an open area at the Patriot Convention and Exhibition Center.

Heads of defense departments and official representatives of foreign states have been invited to participate in the events of "ARMY-2020". Within the framework of ARMY Games 2020, 30 international competitions are planned. The International Army Games will be held from August 23 to September 5.

In the Moscow region, at the Alabino training field, there will be competitions between the teams participating in the Tank Biathlon competition, the Guardian of Order military policemen, the Emergency Area rescue units in Sergiev Posad and the Faithful Friend military dog ​​handlers in Dmitrov, as well as master classes of military cooks.

The ARMY Games competitions will be held in 8 states (Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Iran, Kazakhstan, Sri Lanka and Uzbekistan). More than 200 teams will take part in them, which include about 5 thousand servicemen.

In addition, all participants and guests of the "ARMY-2020" Forum and ARMY Games will be able to visit the Main Temple of the Armed Forces, the Museum Complex "Memory Road" and the open-air museum "Victory Field".
