The source added that the reconstruction of the single steel beam, where the prototype will be demonstrated, is already being completed

"In August, a prototype of an electric rolling stock with the implementation of the magnetic levitation principle of movement will be demonstrated. This is the first time this technology has been applied in Russia," the news agency quoted its sources in MITT.

In February, Yuri Solomonov, General Designer of the Moscow Institute of Thermal Technology, told TASS that the corporation had developed a magnetic levitation train that could also work in an unmanned mode. According to Solomonov, running trials should begin this year, based on the results of which will be decided to deploy full-scale work on the serial production of a new type of monorail transport system, added TASS.

Maglev is a system of train transportation based on two sets of magnets: one set to repel and move the train up off the track, and another - to push the elevated train forward.

The Moscow Institute of Thermal Technology is a developer of Russian intercontinental ballistic missiles, including Topol, Topol-M, Yars and Bulava.
