13, November the National Centre for State Defence Control in Moscow hosted a session of the Organizing Committee on International Army Games 2020. The sessision was chaired by General of the Army Sergei Shoigu.
It is planned that it will be held on August 23-29 in Kubinka near Moscow.
Opening the meeting, the Minister of Defence noted that the results of the jubilee, fifth forum in all respects exceeded last year.
Over 1,300 domestic and foreign enterprises and organizations presented over 27,000 samples of military and dual-use products.
A landmark event was the signing of 46 government contracts totaling over a trillion rubles.
The events were attended by representatives of 120 countries, including more than 40 high-level delegations.
«Today we are starting work on the preparation of Army 2020 Forum. It will require clear interaction of various structures and departments. A distinctive feature of the forum will be that we will hold it simultaneously with the International Army Games,» the Minister of Defence emphasized.
As General of the Army Sergei Shoigu emphasized, this time it will be held simultaneously with the International Army Games, which will allow to increase the level of representation of foreign delegations, expanding the possibilities of official negotiations and meetings.
During the meeting, a plan for forthcoming work was considered.
