Turkey Finances Ukrainian Army with $35M

Ukrainian Ministry of Defence has announced in a statement that Turkey will finance the purchase of goods and services to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"The adopted acts create a legal basis for providing Ukraine with a financial resource in the amount of 205 million Turkish liras (equivalent to about $ 35 million) for the purchase of military goods and services to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and pay for training courses for Ukrainian service personnel in training centres of Armed Forces of the Republic of Turkey for the next 5 years," said Ukraine's Ministry of Defence in a statement.

Earlier in February this year, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan signed the agreement during the 8th meeting of the High-Level Strategic Council between Ukraine and Turkey.
