Unbreakable Brotherhood -2020 Exercise to Involve 700 Troops

Between 12-16 October, the Unbreakable Brotherhood 2020 exercise of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will take place at the Losvido training range in the Vitebsk Region in Belarus, said the Belarusian Ministry of Defence today.

"The total number of participants in the exercise will be more than 700 people, more than 100 units of military and special equipment, including helicopters and UAVs, as well as representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross as observers will take part in it," said the Ministry.

The exercise will be attended by the contingents of the CSTO member states, operational groups of the Joint Staff and the CSTO Secretariat, police forces and units of the ministries of emergency situations (civil defense and emergency situations), came in the statement of the Ministry today.

The initial stage of Unbreakable Brotherhood 2020 exercise, CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces will carry out preparations for a peacekeeping operation. After that, CSTO units will implement practical peacekeeping measures.

The Unbreakable Brotherhood exercises started in 2012 and they are held annually on the territory of one of the CSTO member states.
