By mid-2020, Russian troops will receive vehicles with a fourth-generation engine. After that, deliveries of the Su-57 with the latest fifth-generation engine will begin.
Deliveries of the latest fifth-generation fighter Su-57 to the Russian Aerospace Forces will take place in two stages, said the Deputy Minister of Defence Alexei Krivoruchko.
“At the second stage, after the completion of the tests, deliveries of the engines and fifth-generation power plants with increased fuel efficiency and lower life cycle costs will already begin,” Krivoruchko said in an interview with "National Defense", RIA Novosti reported.
Krivoruchko also spoke about the entry into service of the hypersonic anti-ship missile Zircon. According to him, it is planned that the Zircon will be adopted by 2020-2021. In the near future, the first tests of the rocket from the submarine will be made.
