Russia and China: Prospects for Cooperation in the Field of Shipbuilding

The international online conference "Russia and China: Prospects for Cooperation in theField of Shipbuilding" will be held on 9 April, from 11.00 to 14.00 (Moscow time).

2021 is declared the year of scientific, technical, and innovative cooperation between Russia and China, and in order to strengthen the interaction of Russian and Chinese shipbuilding and shipping companies, NEVA-International LLC, the organizer of the NEVA International Exhibition and the St. Petersburg Export Support Center are holding an online conference with the support of the Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in China, the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in St. Petersburg, the Center for Small Tonnage Shipbuilding RUSBOATS and Sudprom NGO.

The conference program includes three thematic blocks:

  • Analytics of the shipbuilding market in Russia and China. Prospects for the development of international cooperation between Russia and China in the field of shipbuilding
  • Scientific, technical, and educational partnership. Transfer of innovations
  • Export-import interaction

Participating experts will be representatives of the largest shipbuilding associations in China, the Chinese Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Russia'ss Ministry of Industry and Trade, research centers, universities in Russia and China, as well as manufacturers of ships and equipment from the two countries.

Innovative Russian developments -hovercraft, ferries, river-sea vessels- will be presented before the Chinese audience. Chinese companies will provide an overview of components, diesel units, engines, and other shipbuilding products that may be in demand by Russian importers.

The conference is organized in a hybrid format (via ZOOM and a TV studio for the Russian speakers) and will be held from 11.00 to 14.00 (Moscow time).
