RT-Techpriemka plans to introduce an electronic traceability system for components in the defense industry and titanium products in 2021 as part of the fight against counterfeit products. The general director of the company Vladlen Shorin said this in an interview with TASS.

In September 2020, a QR-code system was launched to track metal products and to combat the supply of counterfeit products of the aviation industry. "Now a traceability system has been introduced in the field of raw materials and semi-finished products. This year we are developing measures to launch the system at enterprises that manufacture titanium products. Also this year we set a task of introducing a system for monitoring more complex products and components," Shorin said.
According to him, such defense industry leaders as the United Engine Corporation, the United Aircraft Corporation, and the Tekhnodinamika Holding expressed their readiness to connect to the system.
The system developed by RT-Techpriemka specialists makes it possible to track each stage of product movement. In the information system, each product has its own page with data on when and by whom it was manufactured, to whom it was shipped, as well as provided other information that is contained in the accompanying documents for the product.
"The system is being prepared for mass implementation. The fact is that this topic affects many aspects, for example, amendments to legislation, security, monitoring of a large amount of information that we will provide to defense industry enterprises," the general director explained.
