International Activity in CMD Increased by One Quarter in 2020

2020 has witnessed an increase in the total number of international activity in the Central Military District by one quarter, said the Commander of the Central Military District Lieutenant General Alexander Lapin. This was announced by the press service of the Central Military District (CMD) Monday.

“Over the past year, 13 large-scale international events were held, which is one quarter more than in 2019. The preparation of the military command and control bodies of the Central Military District for solving problems in the Central Asian region was carried out in close cooperation with the member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization [CSTO],” said Colonel General Alexander Lapin.

The most significant events were the command post exercise of the peacekeeping forces Unbreakable Brotherhood 2020 held in the Republic of Belarus with the participation of more than 140 military personnel of the CMD and the exercise of the 201st military base with units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan.
