According to the source, the delivery rate of Su-57 to the Ministry of Defence will eventually grow to 15 aircraft a year.

"The Defence Ministry will get the first serial-produced Su-57 with the operational first-stage engine on the single military output day in December this year and four more such aircraft in 2021," the source told TASS.

TASS' source also added that the deliveries of Su-57 fighters with the second-stage engine are set to begin in 2022.

"As a result, the contract signed in 2019 on 76 Su-57 aircraft by 2028 will definitely be completed on time," the source noted.

In August 2020, lya Tarasenko, General Director of PJSC Sukhoi Company said that  Sukhoi Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aircraft Plant (KnAAPO) is set to deliver 76 Su-57 aircraft the Russian Ministry of Defence by the year 2028.

In 2018, Boris Obnosov, head of the Tactical Missile Weapons Corporation (KTRV), told Interfax that the Su-57 would be put into service, including the ultra-long-range R-37M hypersonic missile. In 2019, it was announced at the ARMY-2019 Forum that a contract for supplying Su-57 with the "project-180" medium-range missile was concluded.

The fifth-generation Su-57 fighter is designated to destroy all types of air, ground, and naval targets. The aircraft develops supersonic cruising speed, carries armament inside its fuselage, features stealth coating, and the latest onboard equipment.
