In an interview with the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper on Wednesday, Dvornikov said that the Krasnodar and North Ossetia (southern Russian Regions) will host military drills with the participation of servicemen from Algeria and Pakistan in the fall of 2021.

"A Russian-Pakistani military exercise, "Friendship-2021", and Russian-Algerian drills will be held this fall in Kuban and North Ossetia - Alania. The Molkino and Tarskoye training ranges were chosen for joint maneuvers," he said.

The commander of Russia's Southern Military District (SMD) noted in his talk with Krasnaya Zvezda that over the past year, more than 100 samples of the latest weapons, including helicopters, ships and armoured vehicles, have been made available to the troops of the Southern Military District. Even before their arrival, the troops of the Southern Military District took a leading position in re-armament - for example, 90% of the armaments of the anti-aircraft missile troops are of modern.

In addition to the military exercises on the territory of the Russian Federation, Black Sea servicemen will take part in two naval exercises. In the Mediterranean Sea, joint exercises will be held alternately with the Algerian and then Egyptian Navies, said Dvornikov.
