The eighth edition of the Army Forum will take place in 2022. Events will be held at the Patriot Exhibition Center, Patriot Park, the Alabino training ground and Kubinka airfield, as well as in all military districts and the Northern Fleet. Army-2022 will be held from 15 to 21 August simultaneously with the Army International Games and the 10th Moscow Conference on International Security.

This was announced at a meeting of the organizing committee of the forum by the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Pavel Popov.
International Forum Army-2022
"For seven years, the Army Forum has consistently been demonstrating strong performance. The unique format of the forum combines various thematic exhibitions, a dynamic display of the capabilities of military equipment, an extensive scientific and business program, protocol and cultural and artistic events», said Pavel Popov.
"For the first time simultaneously with the forum and the Army International Games, the 10th Moscow Conference on International Security will be held at the main exhibition site of the Ministry of Defense, the opening of which will take place on August 14," added Popov.
According to Popov, more than 2.5 thousand enterprises and organizations, as well as official delegations and industrial enterprises of 129 foreign countries have already been invited to participate in the Forum. Work is being carried out on the formation of national expositions and exhibition stands of foreign enterprises. To date, Belarus, India, Kazakhstan, Pakistan and Uzbekistan have already expressed their intention to form national expositions.
Also, invitations for the participation of foreign aerobatic groups have been sent to China, the United Arab Emirates and South Korea.
Military attaches of foreign countries will receive the information about the events of the Forum during briefings scheduled for March and July 2022, as well as during international events with the participation of representatives of defense departments and during bilateral meetings.
The exposition of the Forum
An exposition with a total area of over 340 thousand square meters will be formed in the pavilions and open areas of the Patriot Convention and Exhibition Center, the Alabino training ground and the Kubinka airfield. In addition, a new modern convention and exhibition pavilion with a total area of more than 6 thousand square meters is planned to be put into practice.
Distinctive features of the forum will be:
- exposition of promising samples of weapons, military and special equipment;
- expositions of industrial enterprises and development organizations in the areas of radio-electronic and information technologies, artificial intelligence technologies;
- exposition "Innovative development in the field of defense";
- expanded exhibition cluster of export-oriented samples of weapons and equipment, formed by the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation and Rosoboronexport JSC;
- thematic exhibition "Military education";
- expanded exposition of the Navy.
In addition, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia is forming an exposition aimed at promoting the application of the Russian Federation to host the World Universal Exhibition EXPO–2030 in Moscow.
Demonstrations of modern and promising export-oriented samples of weapons and equipment for foreign delegations will be held at the Alabino training ground and Kubinka airfield. The capabilities of small arms will be demonstrated at the multifunctional fire center.
Scientific and business program
Traditionally, the Forum will host events of the scientific and business program on the most pressing issues of the development of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the Defense Industry of Russia, international military and military-technical cooperation.
The organizational feature of the 2022 program will be the holding of online broadcasts of individual events on open topics of the scientific and business program. The organizers are confident that this will attract representatives of the world scientific and business community to the discussion, increase interest in the forum from Internet users and the blogosphere.
The most significant events of the scientific and business program will be two congresses: "Strategic Leadership and Artificial Intelligence Technologies" and "Diversification of the Russian Defense Industry".
"The forum is planned to host the signing of contracts between Ministry of Defense of Russia and industrial enterprises, as well as contracts between Rosoboronexport and foreign partners," said Pavel Popov.
The schedule of the Forum
Popov announced that the Army-2022 Forum will operate as follows:
- On August 15, the first day of the Forum, the official opening of the Army-2022 and the Army International Games at the Patriot Exhibition Center, the work of top officials of the state, heads of state authorities, industrial enterprises and foreign delegations are planned;
- 16, 17 and 18 are announced as the days of the Forum for Specialists and events of the scientific and business program;
- From August 19 to 21 the Forum will be open to visitors
It is planned to strengthen sanitary and epidemiological surveillance measures at all the facilities involved, taking into account the experience of past forums and other international exhibitions. The forum provides for rapid testing for the COVID-19.
The Army-2022 Forum will be held from August 15 to 21 at the Patriot Exhibition Center, as well as at Kubinka airfield and the Alabino training ground.
