INKAS Vehicles LLC unveiled today its new "Hornet" Pickup design 4x4 APC (Armored Personnel Carrier) vehicle.
The Hornet is a 4x4 Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) vehicle designed and manufactured by the company Inkas Vehicles LLC. The vehicle was unveiled in May 2020 by an Army Recognition webinar. The vehicle is based on the Toyota Land Cruiser-79 chassis, a choice made because of the worldwide “off-the-shelf” availability of spare parts, as well as the cost-effective maintenance and operating costs for the military and security forces.
The Inkas Hornet keeps the original design of the commercial pickup vehicle that can be configured to be used as a personnel carrier for military units as well as a surveillance and security vehicle for police forces. One of the key features of the INKAS Hornet is that it can be operated under conditions and environment not suitable for heavy armored vehicles and other oversized combat vehicles.
